From our first product, BridgeIt™, a 1394-to-SCSI converter, to the StudioLink™, an Optical to 1394 repeater, to the 2ST™, a DV to SDI with embedded audio converter, Vydeo has provided solid designs featuring great ease-of-use, all with high quality, to our OEM customers.

DV Playground™ 2000

• Finished and fully tested PCB assemblies in small to mid-sized volumes;
• Design and manufacturing licenses for OEM self-production;

We have development design partnerships with companies, suppliers and key individuals that our customers can leverage to trim time to customer, and time to revenue.



Vydeo has engaged with numerous chip manufacturers in creating platforms for their devices for both customer evaluation and for product development purposes, or bridges between their new technology and the embedded legacy base.

We have also engaged with IC manufacturers to develop new customer platforms for their chips. Our team offers strong VHDL skills, development methodology and test-benching for FPGAs. Experience in digital system partitioning and advanced function implementation in FPGAs with a strong track record in Design, Documentation and Verification of high-speed digital electronics, FPGAs, and embedded processor systems.

_DESIGNS FOR MANUFACTURING

Vydeo also licenses many of our designs and custom designs to industry partners for manufacturing and/or marketing.

Vydeo licenses both complete hardware designs as well as custom code. For example, our AV/C code has been considered for embedding within disk drives, and our DVP code has been deployed globally. Vydeo has also implemented numerous, successful FPGA and micro- processor designs.

We have also engaged in many modified standard product programs for specific customers in order to deploy designs quickly, and with nominal re-design cost.

_EXPERIENCE

While we license in-house and many custom designs, another key part of our business is designing and building specific platforms and programs for numerous OEM clients. Our experience ranges from compressed and uncompressed DV, BT.656, SMPTE 259 SDI, HD-SD, HDV, MPEG-4 H.264 SD and AVC/HD, and various formats of analog video over 1394 as well as USB2.0. Audio expertise is available in such areas as extracted AES-EBU and embedded audio streams.

Experience also counts in manufacturing, sourcing and program management functions. Vydeo's seasoned professionals have been in the business of building PCB's for many years.

_DESIGN FLOW

Vydeo engineering and technical marketing groups will take your product wish list and generate a specification and functionality description, complete with key compatibility requirements.

Vydeo will carefully choose and assign to the program top resources from our global pool of engineering talent. A Hardware Design Engineer, a Software Design Engineer, a Layout Engineer and a Program Manager will comprise the design team. Following sign-off, design will commence and regular conference calls and/or email reports will be scheduled for design discussions and updates. Customer's equipment and/or drivers may be required in our labs for validation testing purposes. Once prototypes have been verified, they are delivered to the customer for evaluation and approval.

Hand-assembled prototypes will be built for analysis and de-bugging and once the design is finalized, final revision prototypes will be spun.

_PRIME FOCUS

Leveraging our talent and know-how into the expanding 1394 / DV market was the original prime focus of the Company, as shown by the releases of several designs: TopHat (CCIR-656 to DV); SDIsland (DV to SDI); Steady Stream Transcoder™, aka 2ST™; and, StudioLink™ (1394 to Optical) ; the DVD2SDI™ board (DVD to SDI output); Vydeo's DV Playground™ family (Analog to Digital video), and the Aries™ DV to BT.656 subassembly.

Vydeo continued this expansion, moving into H.264 SD Baseline Profile designs, and shortly, a sophisticated H.264 AVC/HD Main and High Profile extensible platform for OEMs. High Profile AVC/HD H.264 (MPEG 4) is of higher quality that the video used to produce high definition DVDs (MPEG 2).

Engineering	Marketing

Vydeo was founded in March 1998 and first appeared on the internet in mid-1999. The Company is self-funded and stands on solid financial footing. All company stock is still owned by the founders.

The Company embarked on a new business model in 2002, focusing exclusively on being an OEM supplier. Multiple design platforms were launched at that time, many of which were inter-related in terms of the codecs used and/or the firmware deployed. The goal was to introduce an extensible, flexible platform of products that OEMs and key regional and global Distribution companies could leverage as high quality, solidly manufacturable and profitable offerings for their customers.

_PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TIMELINE | 2006 - 2008

The Company further refined target markets and niche offerings, focusing intently on the endoscopic and medical imaging business as Vydeo's 10th Anniversary approaches.

Sales in each quarter have been greater than the previous quarter throughout the Company's existence, even during the rough market downturn of 2001-2002. We see a bright and exciting future.
